The article, “Characterization of the murine Th2 response to immunization with liposomal M2e influenza vaccine”, was published in Volume 29, Issue 27 of Vaccine.  This report highlights the results of a liposome-based vaccine with the ectodomain of the matrix 2 (M2e) channel protein as a universal influenza vaccine candidate.  This vaccine (L-M2e-HD/MPL) stimulate anti-M2e antibodies production which conferred complete protection upon passive transfer.  IL-4 and IFN-γ splenocyte secretions and CD4/CD8 depletion studies suggest a Th2 response mechanism.  For the full article,
